NAPA AUTO PARTS PRESENTS, SUNDAY NIGHT, MAY 30 AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY. . . . . .

THE TRIPLE “ROARING 20’S” FOR MODS OFFERING  $8,500 TO WIN THREE, $600 TO START THREE, PLUS SPORTSMAN AND VINTAGE OUTLAW RACING SERIES

MAY 24, 2021  Bechtelsville, PA     . . . . . . . . . . Big money, short distance and three chances to win tells the story when the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series returns to the Grandview Speedway this Sunday night, May 30 showcasing the Triple Roaring 20’s for modifieds.

The Roaring 20’s  refers to the decade of the 1920’s when the United States enjoyed great economic prosperity,  sometimes called the crazy years.  On Sunday night, May 30, the Triple Roaring 20’s will offer three 20 lap features in one night for the modifieds.  Each feature, starting twenty-four cars will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start the feature events.   Thanks to Pioneer Pole Buildings,  a bonus of $2,500 will go to any driver who can sweep the three features making the hat trick worth $8,500.   If one modified drivers wins two feature, they’ll earn an additional $500 courtesy of Pioneer Pole Buildings. Heat race qualifying will determine the modified starting field along with qualifying and a 20 lap Sportsman feature paying $1,300 to win.   The Vintage Outlaw Racing Series will make their first start as part of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series.   Gates open at 5 PM and race time is set 7:30 PM.

It will all go down like this.  For the Modifieds, it’s a big payoff, short distance, three times to get it done and in typical Roaring 20’s fashion,  take the loot and get out of town.    Sounds easy…….but as we know, it never comes easy on,  “the Hill”.   It will take a plan and usually, in the dark of night,  it’s the most famous figures who can pull off the heist and take  the cash.   The list of possible mob members who could pull it off include Brett Kressley, Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, Doug Manmiller, Rick Laubach, Frank Cozze, Kevin Hirthler, Billy Pauch Jr., Alex Yankowski,  Kyle Weiss and Jared Umbenhauer just to name a few of the forty entries as of today.

The Triple Roaring 20’s event will allow both Big Block and 358 Modifieds to compete together in a unique rules package.  This special rules package is offered  to the regions modified drivers, with both American Racer and Hoosier tires allowed for competition, and either Big-Block or Spec Small-Block engines permitted. An event sheet with the complete payoff, rules, and details is available at www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com There is no entry fee but drivers must pre-enter to be eligible for the posted payoff and to draw. Drivers must pre-enter by  May 25th  by calling 443 513 4456.

On race night,  Sunday night, May 30,  the front gate will open at 5 PM with qualifying getting underway at 7:30 PM.  The pit gate will open at 2:30 PM.
