After completing all qualifying for three divisions and one feature race in just over two hours last Saturday night, rain arrived just in time to postpone the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified feature race, bringing an abrupt ending to last week’s NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series racing program. ALMOST MADE IT - RAIN CUTS GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY PROGRAM SHORT, MODIFIED & SPORTSMAN FEATURES GET RAINED OUT AFTER QUALIFYING COMPLETED, BRIGGS DANNER WINS THRILLING USAC SPRINT FEATURE BY LESS THAN A CAR LENGTH

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Briggs Danner of Allentown Pa. was able to win out on a four driver battle for the lead, then fend off a last lap challenge from Steven Drevicki of Reading, Pa. to score the win in the 25-lap Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Series feature Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

The win for Danner was his 26th career win in USAC East Coast Series racing and the second of the season in three programs run so far for the traveling series, who were making their only visit of the year to the third-of-a-mile high banked raceway. READ MORE...

The show will include qualifying events for both classes leading up to the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and the 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

The weekend activity begins on Friday, May 10, and will feature the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Slingshots starting at 7 pm. BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – On and off again rain showers moving through the Berks County region during the late afternoon, along with more rain forecast for later in the evening caused a cancellation of racing action planned for Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – With track management battling unsettled weather that always arrives just in time for the weekend, including five of the last six, this time it was rain arriving at the wrong time causing the cancellation of Saturday night’s racing action at Grandview Speedway.

Track management has been able to dodge the weather so far each weekend and get the scheduled race events in the record books, but Saturday rain arrived mid-afternoon just before the gates were to open, leaving track management the difficult decision to call off the planned racing for the evening. BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The decision to return to the track where his modified race career started paid off in just the third week of the season for Louden Reimert of Oley, Pa., when he raced to his first career victory Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

Reimert scored the win in the 30-lap T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified feature race after grabbing the lead on lap eleven, following a several lap duel between himself, Ray Swinehart of Perkiomenville, Pa. and Carroll Hine III of Reading, Pa., then fighting through some lapped traffic in the closing stages to stay ahead of Kevin Hirthler of Boyertown, Pa. to score that memory making first ever Grandview victory. MIKE MAHANEY COMBINES STRONG RUNNING CAR TOGETHER WITH GOOD RACING FORTUNE TO SCORE HUGE VICTORY IN VP RACING FUELS BRUCE ROGERS MEMORIAL, LOGAN WATT SCORES SPORTSMAN WIN ON OPENING NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Mike Mahaney of Elizabethtown, N.Y. utilized a well prepared and strong running race car along with some good racing luck, to score the Opening Night win in the VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial T.P. Trailer 50-lap Modified feature Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

Mahaney started in position eleven of twelve in his qualifying heat race, the final qualifier of the night, then worked his way forward and finished fifth to qualify for the feature event. Being the final qualifier in the final heat, he was the last driver to pick for a feature starting position in the redraw, and after everyone else drew, he was left with the pole starting position which he parlayed into the $7500 feature win, his second career Grandview Speedway T.P. BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway will host the first on track action of a brand-new race season this Saturday, March 30 by holding an open practice to kick start the 2024 season.

Saturday, March 30 will be the traditional free-to-the-public practice session open to all racing divisions. Drivers will have the opportunity to test their reworked or brand-new equipment for the new season before competition officially begins next week. Race fans will have the opportunity to come out and see their favorite drivers for the first time and check out their new cars for the new campaign.

Drivers from various divisions will be represented. NASCAR Modifieds, NASCAR Sportsman, Outlaw Racing Series Enduro cars, Vintage cars, winged and non-wing Sprint cars, and Xcel 600 Modifieds have all taken practice laps in past seasons and who knows who may show up to take practice laps during the nearly five-hour test session. Astound Broadband has finalized their schedule of television dates for racing at Grandview Speedway. The Astound TV Network (ATVN) will once again be returning for their 22nd season at Grandview to record the race events on six selected Saturday nights, and then show the broadcasts on a tape-delayed basis.
