GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY QUICK RESULTS

WHITMOYER WINS SPORTSMAN 40-LAPPER, KLINE WINS LATE MODEL FEATURE FOR THIRD TIME THIS SEASON AND JEFF STRUNK BECOMES SIXTH DIFFERENT WINNER IN MODIFIEDS AT GRANDVIEW

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 3, 2017 . . . Craig Whitmoyer picked a good night to pick up his first win of the season as he took the top spot in the 40-lap Sportsman feature race on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. The win earned Whitmoyer $1,500 plus bonus bucks from TP Trailers and Truck Equipment and a product award from VP Racing Fuels provided he met all requirements. Ron Kline drove to his third win of the season in the 25-lap BRC Late Model feature and ten time champion Jeff Strunk wheeled to his first win of the season in the 30-lap TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified feature race.

           There have now been 15 different feature winners during the six Saturday night racing programs.

      Joe Funk finished second to Whitmoyer while point leader Brian Hirthler came home third ahead of two feature winner Ryan Lilick and rookie Louden Reimert.

     Point leader Chuck Schutz finished second to Kline in the BRC Late Model feature with Dave Ogin grabbing third followed by Wayne Pfeil and Bryon Sipe.

       Veteran racing talent Mike Kellner came home second to Strunk in the Modified feature race while past champion Ray Swinehart took third. Point leader Craig VonDohren finished fourth while fifth was earned by another past champion Duane Howard.

                Enduro action along with the Blast from the Past Vintage cars will be the attraction at 1 p.m. today (Sunday).

NASCAR stock car racing action returns to Grandview Speedway on Saturday, June 10th with the running of Whelen Engineering Night featuring the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and BRC Late Models. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted FREE. Free parking is available on the speedway grounds.

  Coming up on Tuesday, June 13th is the Jesse Hockett Classic featuring the United States Auto Club wingless sprint cars along with the Small Block Modifieds. Racing at 7:30 p.m.
