TRICK OR TREAT TRIPLE 20’S SWEEP WORTH $8,500 IN THUNDER SERIES FINALE AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 17 6PM

BECHTELSVILLE, PA . . . . . The final event of the 2020 Thunder on the Hill Racing Series is set for Saturday night, October 17 at the Grandview Speedway. A much anticipated event to showcase the Trick or Treat Triple 20’s for the modifieds plus a full program for the sportsman leading up to their 20 lap feature event. Each Modified feature will pay $2,000 to the winner and with thanks to Pioneer Pole Buildings, a $2,500 bonus is posted to any driver who can sweep the three features making the hat trick work $8,500. If one driver wins two features, PPB will add an additional $500 in bonus money. Each feature offers an attractive payoff with $200 being paid to start each feature event.

Some entries eyeing a shot at the sweep include Kevin Hirthler, Doug Manmiller, Kyle Weiss, Keith Hoffman, Brian Hirthler, Justin Grim and Ryan Krachun to name a few of the pre-entries.

As in past years, this end of the season October event will allow both Big Block and 358 Modifieds to compete together in a unique rules package. This special rules package is offered as a ‘treat’ to the region’s competitors, with both American Racer and Hoosier tires allowed for competition, and either Big-Block or Spec Small-Block engines permitted. There is no entry fee but drivers must pre-enter to be eligible for the posted payoff and to draw. Drivers may pre-enter by calling 443 513 4456.

On race night, Saturday, October 17, the front gate will open at 4 PM with qualifying getting underway at 6:00 PM. The pit gate will open at 2:30 PM.

Qualifying for the Modifieds will determine the starting field with the top 12 finishers from the heat race events, drawing the top 12 starting positions in the opening feature. The winner of the first and second feature will then draw an invert number of 8, 10 or 12. This makes a sweep of the Pioneer Pole Buildings $2,500 bonus extremely possible.

For the Saturday, October 17 event, adult admission tickets are $25, Children 6 to 11 are $10, Children 5 and under will be admitted free. The pit fee is $40, and a license is not required.

Advance tickets are available by calling 443 513 4456. Please speak clearly and provide your first and last name and the number of tickets you need. Tickets may be paid for a at 3:30 PM. Advance tickets orders can be processed up to the day before the race. We apologize, but advance tickets will NOT be available on race day. You may pick-up and pay for your tickets on race night at 3:30 PM and enter the grandstands immediately.

The conditions and requirements under the COVID-19 situation are ever-changing, and we will provide updates as we approach race night. To offer the safest possible conditions for our fans, competitors, officials, safety crew, and track employees, we are making the following requests.

Please bring exact change when purchasing general admission tickets or pit passes.

We also advise that you wear a face mask, although not mandatory.

When possible, especially when standing in line, practice social distancing, and be considerate of the individuals around you.

Also, as much as we want you to join us if you are not feeling well, please do not attend.

THUNDER ON THE HILL RACING SERIES EVENTS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events are held at Grandview Speedway, one of the most historic and celebrated dirt track venues in the Northeastern United States. Located just east of Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, Grandview Speedway is a one-third-mile, high-banked clay oval that has hosted continuous professional stock car racing since opening in 1963.
