FRIDAY SEPT. 17 SPORTSMAN FREEDOM 38 RULES. $30K TO WIN FREEDOM 76 MOD CLASSIC SATURDAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 11, 2021. . Past champion Duane Howard drove to victory on Saturday night in the 30-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified feature part of Hope Mortgage Team Night at this Grandview Speedway giving him a $3800 payoff. The win was his second of the season. Another past champion, Jeff Strunk was able to grab second spot followed by Brett Kressley, Tim Buckwalter and Craig Von Dohren. With his fifth place finish Von Dohren became a 12 time Grandview Speedway NASCAR Modified champion.
In the 25-lap main event for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman Lex Shive was able to win while second spot went to Bryan Rhoads. Kenny Gilmore finished third and his consistent performances all season rewarded him with the 2021 T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman title. Fourth place was earned by Dylan Hoch followed by Brian Hirthler.
With his fourth place effort Hoch earned the highest crate sportsman finish.

1- Double rub rail on left side only.
2-No oxygenated fuel (MUST PASS OUR TEST)
3- Tires: American Racer. No stamped required for qualifying. (OUR TREAD PATTERN)

4- Sportsman weight:
All Crate Engines 6200 rpm chip
602 crate with aluminum wheels 2300
604 crate with aluminum wheels 2400
Open sportsman with steel wheels 2425 (7000 rpm chip)
Open sportsman with aluminum wheels 2500 (7000 rpm chip)
5- All Grandview engine rules and body rules apply. (Rules available on website)

Coming up next on Friday, September 17 7:30 p.m. is the Freedom 38 for Sportsman plus Modifieds practicing. There is no rain date. Both nights Gary Balough, winner of hundreds of Modified and Late Model features, will have his most famous race car on display, the Batmobile. He will also be autographing copies of his book, “A Checkered Past: My Story, Gary Balough”.
Saturday, September 18 7 p.m. 51st Annual Freedom 76 for Modifieds paying $30,000 to win—Chapel service has been moved outside of main gate area starting at 2:45 p.m. BRING YOUR BLANKET OR CHAIR. Entry blanks for this event can be found at www.grandviewspeedway.com under the rules and forms section. Rain date is Saturday, September 25.
The Freedom 76 will be available on Dirt Track Digest.
In the first turn pavilion area Pete Knappenberger and his Madie Pearl Band will be entertaining fans from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
