QUICKEE RESULTS FROM SATURDAY NIGHT RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

KRESSLEY TAKES HOME $10,000 AS WINNER OF 50TH ANNUAL FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL MODIFIED CLASSIC AT GRANDVIEW

Coming from a seventh place starting spot Brett Kressley was able to wheel to victory in the 50-lap Forrest Rogers Memorial Modified Classic, the 50th annual, at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. For the veteran racing talent, the 2015 Sportsman Champion and winner of nine career features, it was a big payday as he took home $10,000 for his winning efforts. Taking home the win in the 25 lap NASCAR T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman feature was Kyle Lilick.

Finishing second to Kressley, who calls Orefield, PA home, was the track’s winningest driver Craig Von Dohren who has tallied well over 100 feature victories. Ten time Modified champion Jeff Strunk grabbed third followed by Ryan Watt and Doug Manmiller. Close to 40 T.P.Trailers Modifieds attempted to qualify for the Classic.

Coming home second in the Sportsman feature was Decker Swinehart followed by Cole Stangle, Ryan Beltz and Dakota Kohler.

The chase for the Grandview NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championships continues next Saturday, August 8, with the T.P.Trailers Modifieds and T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman in action. A full slate of qualifying events leads up to a 30-lap feature for the Modifieds and 25-laps for the Sportsman. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 12 admitted FREE. Check in at www.grandviewspeedway.com for more info.
