NO APRIL FOOLS, PRACTICE IS ON AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY TODAY

The annual free-to-the-public practice session, delayed a week by Ma Nature, is on for today, Saturday, April 1st at Grandview Speedway. Pit gates will open at 10 a.m. with practice moved to 1 p.m. Pit admission is $30. Admission to the grandstands is free.

Season tickets will be available for $350.

The practice session, open to all types of racing vehicles that can pass the safety inspection, will give racers the opportunity to test and tune their equipment as they get ready for the season opener on Saturday, April 8th.

Pastor Don will be on hand to bless the race cars, team members, team mascots (dogs) and others.

A tripleheader show of NASCAR sanctioned stock car racing will get the season officially started next Saturday and will feature the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free.

The Enduro racers and Blast from the Past Vintage cars will see action for the first time this season on Sunday, April 9th at 1 p.m.

Coming up on Saturday, April 15th is the first extra distance event of the season. The T.P.Trailers Modifieds will run in a 35-lap feature paying $3500 to win. The BRC Late Models and Sportsman will also be part of the 7 p.m. show.
