WET WEATHER FORCES GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY TO CANCEL SATURDAY NIGHT RACING ACTION
BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 30, 2016 . . . Once again wet weather forced the cancellation of NASCAR stock car racing at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. The planned WNPV-1440AM sponsored night will be rescheduled.
The rainout will tighten up the point battles going on in all three divisions of racing as there will now be just five nights of point racing remaining in the season for the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.
That means that fans coming out for the Saturday, August 6th Bernheisel Race Cars sponsored night of racing will see some spine tingling action as racers battle to earn the all-important points that could lead to track titles and higher finishing positions in the final season standings.
On Saturday August 6th the BRC Late Models will be the featured attraction as they top the Bernheisel Race Cars sponsored night with a 30-lap feature. The Late Models will receive over $10,000 in product and gift certificates from a variety of participating manufacturers. All Late Model racers attempting to participate will receive giveaways each valued at approximately $250. In addition to the Bernheisel promotion Geiswite Creations is presenting a Back To School Giveway Night with school age kids having a chance to win some great backpacks. First 100 school-agers through the main gate will receive a folder with notepad and pencils. One of the biggest events of the season is set for Saturday, August 13th when the Pioneer Pole Buildings sponsored Forrest Rogers Memorial is presented. The race, a 50 lapper for the TP Trailers 358 Modifieds offers $10,000 to the winner, is run in memory of the founder of the speedway. In addition the BRC Late Models and Sportsman will be in action.
Adult admission for the Forrest Rogers Memorial is $25 while youngsters 6 through 11 pay $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free.
Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. A full assortment of great concessions and novelty items are available. Free parking on the grounds. Fans are invited to the competition area after the events are completed to meet the racers.
