HATFIELD QUALITY MEATS NIGHT FEATURES TP TRAILERS NASCAR 358 MODIFIEDS, BRC LATE MODELS AND SPORTSMAN AS THE BATTLE FOR LUCRATIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS TIGHTEN

                SUNDAY ENDURO AND VINTAGE CAR RACING HAS BEEN CANCELLED

BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 20, 2016 . . .  The always popular Hatfield Quality Meats Night featuring a visit by Smiley, their famous mascot; plus t-shirts and hot dogs being shot into the grandstands will be one of the attractions at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night.  And they will have product samples in the first turn grandstand area early in the evening. TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman will be in action as racers, now in the second half of the season, battle for strong finishing positions as they go after the lucrative NASCAR and track titles.

                At least 12 events of stock car racing will be featured with a 30-lap feature topping the Modifieds while the Late Models and Sportsman race in 25 lap features. Ten time track champion Jeff Strunk leads the TP Trailers Modified standings while Jordan Henn is on top in Sportsman and defending champion Chuck Schutz leads the Late Models. There has been more than 20 different feature winners spread over the three NASCAR stock car racing divisions this season.

 The weekly Meet and Greet featuring drivers and cars near the main gate entrance starts at 5 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with actual racing competition starting at 7:30 p.m. Adults are admitted for $15 while youngsters under 12 enter free.

        The promoter of the Blast from the Past Vintage car events and Outlaw Enduro races that had been scheduled for Grandview Speedway on Sunday, July 24th has announced that those events have been canceled.

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series returns to the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, July 26 for the second Annual 410 Sprint Thunder Cup & Modified double show, and this event just got bigger.  As a result of the June 28 rain out, the remaining twenty laps of 410 sprint feature and a 30 lap modified feature will be added to the Tuesday night, July 26 racing program.  With a big night of racing planned, the starting time will be moved to 7PM for time trials.

         WNPV-1440AM Radio of Lansdale, PA steps in to sponsor the Saturday, July 30th night of NASCAR stock car racing. Included will be the Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman along with the popular Blast from the Past Vintage racers. WNPV, the official area NASCAR station, has been a long time supporter of stock car racing at Grandview.  Henning’s Trains of Lansdale will be making three youngsters very happy as they give away three sets of Lionel trains to lucky winners. Henning’s is the area’s authorized Lionel dealer and service station and the Henning family has fielded a Late Model stock car at the Bechtelsville clay oval for a number of years.

     And on August 6th Geiswite Creations is presenting a Back To School Giveway Night with school age kids having a chance to win some great backpacks. First 100 school-agers through the main gate will receive a folder with notepad and pencils.     Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown.
