NASCAR BRC LATE MODELS SET TO RACE IN CHAPMAN AUTO FIRECRACKER 40 ON SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW; MODIFIEDS AND SPORTSMAN ALSO FEATURED IN EXCITING STOCK CAR RACING ACTION

BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 13, 2016 . . . After being rained out last weekend, NASCAR BRC Late Model stock car racing will be in the limelight this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. The Chapman Ford Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram sponsored Firecracker 40 will feature an outstanding array of racing talent shooting for victory in the biggest event of the season for the BRC Late Models. Racing on Saturday night will get underway at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Late Models there will also be racing action for the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Sportsman stock cars.

The adult admission price, with the Fireworks that had been scheduled for the rained out event of July 9th eliminated from the night of activities, has been reduced to $20.

Spectator gates open at 5:30 pm with racing getting the green at 7:30 pm.

Chuck Schutz, the multi-time Late Model titleholder and current point leader, is a favorite to walk off with the win but he will have plenty of competition for the prestigious Firecracker 40 victory from challengers such as former champion Brian Shuey, Lou Egrie Sr, Wayne Pfeil, Danny Green, Joe Fanelli, Dave Ogin, Bill Henning and others.

A win in the 30-lap main event for the TP Trailers Modifieds is particularly important to point leader Jeff Strunk as he battles with Craig VonDohren and Mike Gular plus others for the valuable championship points. VonDohren, the all-time leading feature win leader, is looking for his 99th career win at Grandview and just recently passed the 300 mark with overall career wins at a variety of tracks.

Jordan Henn continues to lead in the chase for the NASCAR Sportsman title.

The weekly Low Down and Dirty Radio sponsored Meet & Greet will take place at 5 p.m. and will feature three Late Model racers including Dan Green, who will have some great prizes and giveaways for fans; former champion Lou Egrie Sr. and rising young talent Drew Weiser.
