RACERS ARE READY FOR ACTION PACKED STOCK CAR RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY
NASCAR POCONO RACEWAY TICKETS WILL GO TO LUCKY FANS IN THE STANDS
COMPETITORS ASKED TO BE SIGNED IN BY 6PM
BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 18, 2016 . . . Racers are chomping at the bit, anxious to get back to racing, after two straight Saturday night rainouts at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway. Racing action this Saturday will feature some very serious competition as the four division show will include the T.P. Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman and the popular Blast from the Past Vintage racers. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. Competitors are being asked to sign in to the pit area by 6 p.m. so everyone is ready for the 6:30 p.m. warmup sessions.
Saturday night action will feature a full series of qualifying events for the NASCAR divisions with the Modifieds topping off their racing with a 30-lap feature that starts 28-cars. The Late Models and Sportsman will close out their night with each running a 25-lap feature. The Vintage cars race in two 15-lap events. All the NASCAR competitors are looking to gain valuable points in their chase for the lucrative end of the season titles.
The four division card of racing will still be offered at the same low weekly admission price of $15 for adults and youngsters under 12 being admitted for FREE. Members of the military are admitted free with proper ID.
Pocono Raceway in a promotional partnership with local NASCAR radio show WNPV-1440AM in Lansdale will be giving away tickets for their June 4-5 NASCAR racing events valued in excess of $1,000.
As is the norm the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet will get started at 5 p.m. at the main gate area and will include Modified talent Tim Buckwalter, Late Model standout Wayne Pfeil and Sportsman ace Brad Brightbill along with their race cars.
Coming up on Saturday, May 28th is another tripleheader card of NASCAR stock car racing action featuring the T.P. Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
And the first of a series of Thunder on the Hill Series dates is set for Sunday, May 29th when the Modifieds, Sportsman and TSRS Sprints make up the exciting night of racing. Again racing has a 7:30 p.m. starting time.
Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. A full assortment of great concessions and novelty items are available. Free parking on the grounds. Fans are invited to the competition area after the events are completed to meet the racers.
