WINNER WILL EARN MORE THAN $100 A LAP IN 35 LAP NASCAR 358 MODIFIED STOCK CAR FEATURE SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW

BECHTELSVILLE, PA APRIL 7, 2016 . . . It is anyone’s guess as to who will take home the big bucks at Grandview Speedway this Saturday when the Modifieds are in the limelight with an extra distance event that will see the winner earning at least $100 a lap. The T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be battling for in excess of $3,500 to win the 35-lap main event. Actual racing starts at 7 p.m.

               Should weather conditions force postponement the Saturday card of events will be moved to Saturday, April 16th at 7 p.m.

         Craig VonDohren, coming off an exciting come from behind opening night victory, will be looking for his second win of the early season at the Berks County clay oval as he defends his 2015 NASCAR title. In addition to the $3,500 first place money posted by the track there will be a $250 bonus from T.P. Trailers of Limerick.

         VonDohren will have plenty of competition as Duane Howard will try to reverse the finish from last Saturday night with a big win and VonDohren finishing behind him. Ten time track champion Jeff Strunk was strong in the opener. Others looking to give VonDohren and Howard some strong competition are  Frank Cozze, Ray Swinehart, Meme DeSantis, Mike Gular, Doug Manmiller and others and they will all be trying for a win in the rich 35-lap feature.

            Again this Saturday the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will be back in action producing another exciting tripleheader show of NASCAR stock car racing. A full series of qualifying events will lead up to the feature races for the top performers.

               Adult admission for the special night of tripleheader racing action is $20 with youngsters 5 through 11 paying $5 and kids under 5 will be admitted FREE. Active military are welcomed at Grandview and are admitted free with proper military identification.

              As happens each Saturday night the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet will feature racers from each division in the main gate area at 5 p.m. when the spectator gates are opened. This Saturday BRC Late Model racer Dean Bachman will be there to greet fans along with Modified racer Steve Swinehart and Sportsman talent Eric Hoch.. A great opportunity for fans to take photos, collect autographs and get an up close look at the race cars. Actual racing action starts at 7 p.m.

               The race night will be taped and shown later in the week on RCN/TV, Tuesday and Friday, and again later in the season.

                Pit gates for racers will be open at 3 p.m. with all racers required to sign in by 5:30 p.m. Pit admission is $30 and all those entering the pit area must have a NASCAR membership.
