QUICK RESULTS FROM GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

HOWARD TOPS THE NASCAR 358 MODIFIED FEATURE, SHUEY WINS BRC LATE MODEL FEATURE AND HOUSWORTH TAKES SPORTSMAN WIN AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT

BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 16, 2016 . . . Duane Howard wheeled the Atlas Paving Modified to victory on Saturday night in the 35-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway earning in excess of $3500 for his efforts.  It did not take former Late Model champion Brian Shuey long to get back into the swing of things. After being away from the sport for a few years Shuey was able to put the Scott Lee owned Savage 61 racer in victory lane winning the 25-lap BRC NASCAR Late Model feature race. In the 25-lap feature for Sportsman Jim Housworth earned his first victory topping the 26-car starting field.

                Mike Gular showed a strong effort as he finished second to Howard followed by 10-time track champion Jeff Strunk, Tim Buckwalter and opening night feature winner Craig VonDohren.

                Finishing second to Shuey in the Late Model main event was veteran Wayne Pfeil followed by Ron Kline, Sean Merkel and Lou Egrie Sr..

                Young Brett Gilmore grabbed second in the Sportsman feature followed by Jordan Henn, Ken Eckert and Dean Bachman.

More than 90 stock cars participated in the Saturday night racing action.

                On Sunday, April 17th, 1 p.m. there is Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage cars racing action scheduled. Adult admission is $10 with youngsters under 12 admitted free.

NASCAR racing action returns to Grandview Speedway on Saturday, April 23rd at 7 p.m. when the NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars are joined by the Blast from the Past Vintage Cars for a four division show. Gates open at 5 p.m. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted free.
