GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY PRESENTS NASCAR MODIFIED TWIN 25 LAP FEATURES THIS SATURDAY

POSSIBLE DRIVER VICTORY SWEEP OF TWIN 25 COULD NET WINNER $5600

HIGH LIMIT 410 SPRINTS ARRIVE TUESDAY MAY 19 – ADVANCE TICKETS AVAILABLE ONLINE

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway is set for two days of racing action this weekend and double the action with TWIN 25-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified features on Saturday night in another NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds will be competing in TWIN 25 LAP features, plus the usual qualifying events, plus a full show for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman with qualifying and a 25-lap main event, making for THREE 25-lap Feature races in one night!

Both of the Twin 25-lap features for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds will pay $2000 to win, plus the T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment bonus of $300 making for a $2300 payday for the winner in each feature.

There is more! Should the same driver win both of the Twin 25’s, that driver would earn a bonus of $1000, making it possible to win $5600 for a sweep of the twin feature program!

Saturday’s program will be Checkered Flag Fan Club night, and will see the pit gates open at 3 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4 pm, warm-ups starting at 5 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

It will be the second consecutive season that a scheduled double –feature racing event will be held on a Saturday night, with Brett Kressley and Chris Esposito scoring the feature wins last season, while previously double-feature events were not run since the 2014 season, which saw Twin 20-lap features that were won by Doug Manmiller and Jeff Strunk.

Looking back a bit in Grandview track history, Twin 35-lap features were run in 2013, won by Craig Von Dohren and Doug Manmiller, which were the first double features since the 2003 season when three sets of Twin 20’s were run.

Prior to these events, Twin 35-lap features were run annually between 1993 and 1998, while Twin 20-lap or 4 20-lap feature programs were run in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Saturday’s program will also be the first in a series of race events recorded and produced by ATVN-TV. The Astound TV Network (ATVN) will be recording the race events on Saturday, with the race event broadcast to be shown on a tape-delayed basis. The heat races will be a complete program shown on the following Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. The features will air the following Friday evening at 7 pm. with further replays to follow.

In addition, this Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the weekly meet and greet, presented by Low Down Entertainment and hosted by Brittany Huber and Jennifer Umbenhauer. This week’s drivers who will be on hand with their cars to participate include Modified driver Ryan Graver along with Sportsman driver Jimmy Leiby.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway. Also included in the Meet & Greet will be Little Miss Grandview with crayons and coloring pages for the kids!

The weekend of racing at Grandview Speedway will begin on Friday, May 8, as the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Vintage cars will be in action joined by the Keystone Sport Compact Series Four Cylinders starting at 7 pm.

On Friday night pit gates will open at 2 pm, and grandstand gates open at 5 pm. Grandstand admission is $10, children ages 12 and under are admitted free, while pit admission is $35 for the Friday event.

The first Thunder on the Hill Series event is set for Tuesday, May 19 (rain date May 20) featuring the Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Interstate Batteries High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series. Advanced tickets can be ordered now at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM.   This event is presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment and RICH MAR Florist.

On Tuesday, May 19, grandstand gates will open at 4:30 pm for Advance ticket holders, with general admission tickets going on sale at 5 pm at the main entrance.   Following opening ceremonies, heat race qualifying will take the green flag at 7:35 pm.

Last Saturday night Ryan Watt kept the streak going of no repeat winners so far during the new season for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds, joining Louden Reimert, Jared Umbnhauer and Duane Howard as feature winners a little more than a month into the season

The same can be said for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division which has yet to have a repeat feature winner. Following Brad Brightbill, who won on Opening Night, the feature winners in the division have all recorded their first career Grandview Speedway triumph, with Bryce Bashore, Mike Toth and Mark Mohr all reaching the winner’s circle this season.

Competition will be intense again this Saturday night, as over three dozen drivers will be battling in each division to reach victory lane!
