BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – A busy slate of race action is planned for Grandview Speedway heading into the Memorial Day holiday, with racing planned for Tuesday and Saturday nights during this upcoming week.
The first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event is this week on Tuesday, May 19, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Rich Mar Florist Interstate Batteries High Limit 410 Sprints in a Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series event.
This program includes time trials, and qualifying events leading up to the 35-lap feature event that pays $20,000 to win! In addition, Alpine Building Supply has posted a $2000 bonus if a Pennsylvania driver should win the main event.
Tuesday will be a night of HIGH SPEEDS, HIGH STAKES and HIGH ROLLERS to include drivers Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Danny Dietrich, Brent Marks, Kasey Kahne, Tyler Courtney, Ryan Timms, Tanner Thorson, Aaron Reutzel, Giovanni Scelzi, Kerry Madsen, Justin Peck, Sye Lynch, Brady Bacon, Tanner Holmes, and Daison Pursley to name a few.
Advance tickets for the May 19 event are currently available at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM. Advance ticket holders will gain entry to the grandstand at 4:30 pm through the first turn gate, followed by general admission tickets going on sale and the main gate opening at 5 pm. Warm-ups start the program followed by time trial qualifying at 6:45 pm, with the show set to begin at 7:35 pm. A rain date of Wednesday, May 20 is in place if needed.
General admission tickets on race night May 19 are $42 for adults, children 6-11 are $20, children 5 and under will be admitted for free. The pit admission is $50 and a license is not required.
Grandview Speedway will be presenting another NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program this Saturday featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds, the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman, and a visit by the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.
The show on Saturday, May 23 will include qualifying events leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature, a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman, while the Outlaw Series Vintage cars will run a 15-lap main event.
The starting time will move to 7:30 pm for the summer season, with pit gates opening at 4 pm, grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, and warm-ups starting at 6:30 pm.
Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Saturday’s program will also feature the first Trivia night for the season, where fans can win prizes after correctly answering questions about Grandview Speedway racing. This has become a fun and very popular extra on the race programs when Trivia nights are held!
Jeff Strunk scored his first win of the season this past Saturday night in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature in a close and exciting finish over Logan Watt, and as a result continues to maintain fourth position in the current point standings, while Watt sits in position five.
Eddie Strada scored a sixth-place feature run to continue as the current point leader for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified division, while Jared Umbenhauer scored a fifth-place feature finish to now sit second in points, with Rick Laubach scoring an eleventh-place feature result and now sits in position three in the current standings.

Brad Brightbill shook off a couple of bad weeks of action and rebounded with his second feature win of the year this past Saturday night in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division to remain in the top fifteen in the current point standings.
Colin Cox remains as the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman point leader after a tenth-place feature finish last Saturday, with Joe Toth now second in points after charging from eighteenth to sixth place in last Saturday’s feature, while Jimmy Leiby just missed a top ten finish and sits third in points.
Matthew Laubach rebounded from an early race trip to the back of the pack to finish a strong eighth and sits fourth in points, while Addison Meitzler made a dramatic run through the pack from seventeenth starting spot to finish third in Saturday’s feature and sits fifth in points entering this week’s program.

Coming up on Saturday, May 30 will be another double-header program of NASCAR racing with the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman in action featuring TWIN 25-lap features for the Modifieds starting at 7:30 pm.
