$25,000 WAITS FOR WINNER OF 46TH ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 MODIFIED CLASSIC AT GRANDVIEW SATURDAY
SPRINTS AND SPORTSMAN IN DOUBLEHEADER FRIDAY NIGHT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 . . . Craig VonDohren is on a hot streak. He has won five features at Grandview Speedway this season and wrapped up his ninth T.P.Trailers NASCAR Modified title. He is the defending champion of the Freedom 76 and a five time winner. Just recently he reached 100 career wins at the Berks County clay oval. And now the biggest event of the season, the 46th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic is set to go on Saturday, September 10th at Grandview. Will it be another $25,000 payday for the champion?
Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Bobby Varin, David VanHorn, Billy Pauch, Jr., Ryan Godown, Doug Manmiller, Ryan Watt, Mike Gular, Ray Swinehart and many other top talents in dirt track Modified stock car racing will be showing up at Grandview Speedway intent to have their own big payday.
A full series of qualifying races, a $1,000 to win Cash Dash, consolation races, Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 (last chance to make the big race), will lead up to the Freedom 76. Racing starts at 7 p.m.
Bobby Gunther Walsh and his sponsors topped by Square One Markets has posted $500 for the hard charger, T.P.Trailers has cash awards for top finishing rookie in the race and top finishing visitor, and there is a $100 award for the Halfway Leader courtesy of Area Auto Racing News, Motorsports 2017 and the Allentown Indoor Race events December 30-31. In addition there is lap money posted for the leader of many of the 76 laps.
Adult admission is $40 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay just $10. Kids under 6 will be admitted free. Advance ticketholders will be admitted at 3 p.m. while the ticket windows will open at 3:30 p.m.
Rain date for the Freedom 76 is Saturday, September 17.
On Friday night, September 9th, 7 p.m. champion Mike Haggenbottom will lead a stellar field of 305 Sprints to Grandview and they will be part of a doubleheader that will include the always exciting Sportsman stock cars. The Freedom 38 will be the big event for the Sportsman. In addition Modified racers participating in the Freedom 76 will be given practice time.
Adult admission for Friday night is $12 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. There is no rain date for this event.
Advance tickets ($35) for the Freedom 76 will be on sale early on Friday evening.

Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track is located on Passmore Road in Bechtelsville, PA just off Route 100 ten miles north of Pottstown.
